Brian K. Allen, DMD
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Allen was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He received his DMD degree with honors from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ, now called Rutgers Dental School. He completed his residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he served one year as chief resident.
Dr. Allen is an attending pediatric dentist and associate professor at Maimonides Medical Center and is a visiting adjunct professor in the Department of Children’s Dentistry at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem.
Dr. Allen is an active member of the Mercer County Dental Society, where he served as president from 2002 to 2003. He is also actively involved in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Society of Dentistry for Children. In his spare time, Dr. Allen enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife of 28 years, their children and their six grandchildren.
Kristy L. Slachta, DMD
Dr. Slachta (aka “Dr. Kristy”) was born and raised in Yardville, New Jersey. She was one of four individuals accepted into the seven-year accelerated biology/DMD program with Villanova University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she received her DMD degree.
Dr. Slachta completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During her second year of residency, she served as chief resident. She is currently an attending pediatric dentist and associate professor at St. Christopher’s.
Dr. Slachta is a board-certified pediatric dentist (Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry). She became board certified through a voluntary two-year examination process, which involved a written qualifying examination and an oral clinical examination covering all areas of information of which a pediatric dentist should be knowledgeable. Dr. Slachta’s certification in the ABPD is renewed annually, so that she can maintain her board-certified status. Her involvement in the certification process is a demonstration of her pursuit of continued excellence in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Slachta is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Mercer County Dental Society.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, visiting Long Beach Island, and spending time with her husband and their six children.
